How Does Your Garden Grow?

We enjoyed our first cucumbers from the garden for dinner last night - YUMMY!!!

In other news, my Mom and MJ painted the nursery on Saturday and Mom is coming back tomorrow night to put the border up!! So exciting. Cupid has been performing many a gymnastic routine for me lately. Yesterday s/he was VERY active. I can't wait until MJ can feel the baby from the outside. I'm sure it won't be long....

What's Going On....

Here's what's going on around here

Pregnancy wise......

*Heartburn is back - with a vengance - YUCK!!

*Crying over everything/nothing has begun (it is weird because I am NOT a cryer)

*Maternity clothes are SOOOO comfortable

*What's up with the strange, strange dreams???  Enough already.....

*Got the sweetest call yesterday from the office where we did all of our fertility stuff.  They were "all talking about us and jonesing to know how we were doing."  It was so nice to chat with them and fill them in on how wonderful things are going.

*Nursery is being painted this weekend - YAY!

In Other News....

*Our summer job will wrap up either tomorrow or Friday - very nice.

*We get to spend time with MJ's family soon!

*It has been HOT HOT HOT here.  A/C has been running constantly for almost 2 weeks now - I can't remember the last time we've had it running for that many days in a row.

*Our garden is flourishing - we hope to begin picking cukes in the next few days.

*Life is good!

Movement

I am finally feeling Cupid move.  Last night I was pretty sure that I was feeling the baby, and today there is no doubt.  If possible, I am now even more in love with this baby.  This is the best feeling!!!

The New Guest Room

Some of you may remember the story of Olivia being told that we were having a baby. Her first reaction was, "Well, where is the baby going to sleep? It better not be in my room because it will be too loud!" We promised Olivia that she would still have a room to sleep in when she comes to visit. We have spent the last two weekends turning our den/catch all room into the new guest room.

Here is the room before:

Room is spackled and ready for paint.

Walls are painted, floors are in, and shot glass shelf is filled back up!

The finished product for now. We want to get some baskets to put the top shelf items in and we need to get a comforter and matching valance for the window.

My Mom and Dad came and ripped out all of our carpet and laid the flooring this weekend. It looks fabulous! Now that this room is done, we can focus on the Nursery. Our goal this week is to get that room cleaned out and walls prepped for paint.

Getting ready for Baby is SO EXCITING!!

Update

Holy Cow - a lot has been going on in the past 10 days.  Here is our update bullet style...

*Summer vacation is glorious - we love having no plans each day and being able to do whatever we want.  However, this will change abruptly on Tuesday as we start a short 10 day stint working.  We will be scoring the Special Ed A.lternate A.ssessments for our state.  It isn't bad work though, and it is really good pay!

*We spent the better part of this week camping on the Cape.  We went with my brother and his girlfriend and had lots of fun.  The weather was beautiful and it's always nice to spend a day in Pr0vincet0wn!

*Last weekend we cleaned out our entire den and my mom came over and painted with MJ.  We are turning that room into the guest room and our current guest room into the nursery.  Tomorrow, my Dad is coming over to rip the carpet out of that room and put laminate flooring down.  Then we'll finish things up and get ready to start working on the nursery.

*Today we made an impromptu trip to Ba.bies R U.s and decided we might as well go ahead and do our registry.  Holy Cow - that was quite the undertaking.  3 1/2 hours later and we emerged from the store.  We had so much fun though.  There really is a baby coming to live here in a few short months!!!

*I have pictures to share as well, but we'll save that for another post as the camera is in the other room!

Happy 4th to all of our American readers!
