Shower Fun

Our Shower on Sunday was lots and lots of fun!  It was so great to celebrate with friends and family!  My brother did an amazing job making al of the food, and it was just wonderful to spend time celebrating this long awaited little one!

We went to our breastfeeding class last night which was very informative.  Tomorrow afternoon we have our weekly Dr. Appt.  In the evening my Mom and Dad are coming over to deliver and set up the crib for us!!  We can't believe that there are only 5 weeks or less until we get to meet Cupid!

It's Baby Shower Day!!!!  We are very excited for this afternoon to celebrate with friends and family.  We'll update with all the pics and news either tonight or tomorrow!!

The Latest

The latest around here:

*My parents are rock stars and they came over this weekend and got the flooring all layed in the nursery.  Now it is almost finished - we are just waiting for the crib and glider.

*I can't believe how little time there is until we meet Cupid!

*I've started weekly OB visits  - crazy!!!

*We really should think about packing a hospital bag soon!

*Our shower is on Sunday - we can't wait for that!

*Breastfeeding class will be on Monday night.

*Still feeling pretty good other than the nasty cold I've caught - probably from the germy kids at school.

*I swear the belly grows by the day!

Grown Up!

Today at school I had 3 or 4 people comment on the fact that I've "grown" since last week. I hadn't really noticed it until we took belly pics and they are right! Cupid just keeps getting bigger and bigger - s/he has nothing else to do but pack on the pounds now! Here are the 32 week belly pics:

Crazy day tomorrow - 3PM NST, 4PM Ultrasound, 4:30 Dr. appt, Dinner for my birthday, 7PM hospital birth center tour. It is all so exciting though!

We really are in the home stretch now! We are getting more and more excited to meet Cupid!!!

School and Heat

The two words in the title pretty much sum up the past week.  We went back to work and it was ridiculously hot!  We had workshops on Monday and Friday and the kids were in school Tues, Wed, Thurs.  The temp was close to 100* all week and our classrooms ran about 92*!  What an exhausting day to spend in that heat all day with kids.   It has cooled down today though thanks to Earl and we are looking at  a little more pleasant weather this week.  Some schools in NH were closing due to the heat - crazy!

One cute kid story from this week - I was doing lunch duty for Grade 1 and one of the little boys starts poking my belly and says, "Hey, are you growing a baby in your belly?"  I love the things kids come up with - they crack me up!

We are thankful for the long weekend as we are both exhausted.  No big plans which is very nice - going to putter around the house and so some more cleaning and organizing in preparation for Cupid's arrival.

Had an OB appt on Tuesday and everything is great - measuring well, blood pressure fine - etc.etc.   We go back on the 14th for our next appt and we also have the hospital Birth Center tour that night.  Time is going by quickly and it is only 7 weeks until I start Maternity Leave - YIKES!!!
