Yep, There's a Baby in There!

Nesting Has Begun

Well, it's official - I (we) have begun nesting.   It all started on Sunday when we were going to organize our dining room.  We don't really eat in there as we have a table in the kitchen, so we decided to make it more of a multi-purpose type room.  We emptied the room so we could clean the floor when we decided that since the room was empty it would be a good time to repaint the walls as they were done 5 years ago.  Well, if you are going to paint the walls, then you might as well take the heat registers off and clean under them.  While you have the registers off, you might as well repaint them.  We took the curtains down to wash and since the curtains were down, it was a good time to clean the windows and sills.  CRAZY!!  It looked so nice when it was all done though!

So then we decided that if we do a room a day then we can have the whole downstairs redone before we go back to work on Monday.  So, today we tackled the living room and painted 3 of 4 walls in living room -  washed the windows, repainted the trim and sills around windows, and  removed the heat registers and cleaned underneath and repainted them.

Tomorrow we will do the 4th wall of the living room and the hallway.

Friday's goal is the kitchen - oh that is going to be a pain in the you know what!!

Saturday we'll do the downstairs bathroom and then we'll be all done!

It will be like a whole new house.

I think there is a baby coming to live here soon!!!!

Wordless Wednesday - Beer Delivery Edition

Independent

I tell you - our child is going to be one independent soul!!! Yet another ultrasound today where we still don't have a "cute" profile pic. We got all arms and legs, hands and feet. It's a good thing we don't want to know what we are having because Cupid wouldn't cooperate anyways. No good pics, but it was fun to see the little one anyways! S/he was moving like crazy as usual. My mom came with us again and still didn't get a good view of her grandchild! The appointment was fine otherwise - no problems. Just the way we like it! We start going every 2 weeks now!! Here are some of our pics from today. The doc told us she had "girl vibes" when she was listening to the heartbeat today. We'll see if she's right in a couple of months.

28 Weeks

Yes, that's right - somehow we have managed to make it to 28 weeks.   I'm trying to figure out where the time has gone and we are hastily making plans to get everything done before baby arrives!  In addition, we are in the process of getting ready to go back to school 2 weeks from tomorrow, so lots going on around here.

As you can see from our Wordless Wednesday post, we were in Colorado recently.  We actually took a wonderful vacation 3 weeks long.  We drove to Minnesota to visit MJ's mom and one of her brothers.  We also drove to CO to visit her other brother.  We figure we drove about 6000 miles in those three weeks.   We had lots of fun and it is always nice to spend time with family.

Next OB appt is tomorrow - we get a peek at Cupid, regular appt, appt with insurance, and also glucose test.  I thought since they did it early and I passed no problem that I wouldn't have to do it again, but they said I still do.  I am already dreading the sickly sweet orange drink. 

We are just enjoying our last couple weeks of vacation and gearing up to meet Cupid in a few short weeks - the time will be here before we know it!
