So, apparently I'm allergic to the Am0xicililn that they gave me to treat my br0nchitis last week! I am literally covered from head to toe in what the doctor called "one of the most impressive drug rashes" he has ever seen. He said I could be in the textbooks it is so bad. FUN TIMES!!! So, another day off of work today, some prednis0ne and a prescription anti.histamine and hopefully I'll be on the mend. The biggest problem is that normally people have this type of reaction within a dose or two of a medication and they can stop taking it right away.. Since I am not normal, and my reaction came 4 days after i finished the lovely meds, have the entire prescription in me that my body has to get rid of!
Isn't it pretty?!?!?

OMG- that looks PAINFUL!
Oh. My. God. You poor thing! Is it itchy/painful? Looks miserable. Hope it clears up soon!
Have JoJo add some green spots and you will be all decked out for Christmas!! ~sorry I could not resist!~
Oh, I do that too (if on amoxicillin and such) so I am feeling terribly sorry for you right now. The rash itches, hurts and sometimes burns. I have gone through times I have cried with that reaction (because sometimes drugs I could take in the past become toxic for me) and begged to have my skin ripped off. I wish you strong benadryl cream and good steroid shots--- and a super-fast recovery!!
My DP had an allergic reaction to meds. It took about 4 weeks before she really got some terrible hives and difficulty breathing. It took another 6 weeks to go away.
Hope you feel better soon!
That is just terrible. So sorry! Hope you feel better soon.
I'm allergic too. It's a real bitch since that is what they ALWAYS want to prescribe when you are sick. I've been allergic to the mold drugs since I was a kid so thankfully, I havent had a reaction as an adult. My sympathies!!
Yikes. Does it itch?
