My Honey is the BEST!

I had a great birthday last week - MJ made it really special! On Sunday, she let me open some of my presents one day early! Here is the stack of things.....



Opening some fun school supplies! I got pens, notebook, folder, and lots of other fun stuff. (I know I am a total nerd for getting excited about school supplies - but Stap.les is one of my absolute favorite stores!



This may seem kind of silly, but I keep saying that I want a shredder - so I got one for my bday!


Of course, I had to find lots of things to shred just to try it out!



On Monday, my actual birthday, she continued to make my day special. We work in the same school, and all day long, I found little presents in my mailbox with cute little cards. She even snuck a card and a gift into my lunch box! When we got home, there was a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers waiting for me as well!

When we got home on Tuesday - waiting in the doorway was my final prize - the JUST RELEASED Toy St.ory Man.ia game for W.ii - we had so much fun playing it! For any of you have been on the new To.y Sto.ry ride at Holly.wood St.udios in FL - the game is JUST LIKE the ride - tons of fun!

It's so great to share those special days with someone you love!

I can tell we're back to work!

I can tell we are back to work because it has been a whole week since I posted. There just isn't as much time to keep up with things! We had a good week at school - in many ways it seems like we never left. MJ has a pretty decent class this year which is a major blessing compared to the class from hell that she had last year! I am in the midst of fall testing for the entire school, so I don't get outside of my room very often. That takes the whole month of September and then I get to start my "real" teaching.

We had a great weekend this weekend. Yesterday we spent a large part of the day with my parents celebrating my birthday (it's Monday the 14th). They bought me some new shoes for work, a Li.fe is Go.od shirt and drink glasses, and took us out to lunch. It was great to spend time with them! We also stopped at a jewelry store while we were out and MJ got me a new charm for my Pan.dora bracelet.

Today we did a major organizing of the scrapbooking room - we went through all of our stuff and we have three bags of paper and stickers that we are bringing to work tomorrow to give away. It is stuff that we will never use - some of it we looked at and wondered why in the world we even bought it! We also got all packed up for the 12 hour crop we are going to next Saturday.

So, a nice mellow weekend being productive and celebrating my birthday - can't ask for anything better!

The Rest of the Best Birthday Ever!

So, the rest of my birthday was just spectacular! We went out to get a few accessories for the Wii. We got the nerf sports pack which comes with a golf club, tennis racket, and baseball bat. That makes playing so much fun and a lot easier too. We also bought the Outdoor Adventure which is just a blast! You do Whack a Mole with your feet, Jump Rope, Kayak, Mine Cart Racing, Log roll jumping, and much more! It is TONS of fun!!! The funniest thing on Mine Cart Racing is that to steer, you have to lift on leg - there is a picture of MJ doing that below! Here are some other pics of us playing too - you really work up a sweat! We had so much fun and laughed a lot!

My parents came over and we had a wonderful seafood boil just like the one we had in Colorado this summer. It was TASTY!!! We had Alden Merrill Chaos Pie for dessert too! It was just a fabulous day!

The Best Birthday Ever!

I am having the best birthday weekend ever! It started on Friday night with dinner at the Olive Garden and 2 dozen yellow roses! I LOVE yellow roses, they are my absolute favorite.

Then on Saturday, we worked a lot around the house - cleaning, rearranging the living room at bit, etc. On Saturday night, MJ let me open my presents and I was so surprised!

First off, I got some very fun new scrapbooking paper and embellishments -bows, ribbon, eyelets, and brads. I got a new book Three Cups of Tea which I am excited to start reading. Then she bought me a new Pandora bracelet with a great pink and green glass bead - now I can begin the obsession of filling this on up as well. I got one for Christmas and had it all filled by June!

Then, came the absolute best present of all - I got a Wii!!!!! I was so excited - I had been joking about wanting one, but I never expected to get one because you can't find them anywhere unless you want to buy the $550 bundle. Well, MJ went to Target and it must have been my lucky day because they had just received a shipment. It is SO MUCH FUN!

Last night we had fun bowling and playing tennis and baseball. Here are some pics of us bowling:

As you can see, the dogs had to help/get in the way - I even accidentally punched Willy in the nose this morning. Here is one last pick of me this morning after winning my boxing match! Ignore the PJs and bed head please!

This afternoon my parents are coming over and we are going to have a seafood boil - more about that later - I'm off to play my Wii!
