Another Good Day

Today was just as much fun as yesterday!  We enjoyed playing more DDR - and laughed a lot more too.  We had a wonderful egg bake and cinnamon roll breakfast and spent the morning visiting with Laura, Sue, and Olivia.  We've been watching football all afternoon/evening and we're psyched that Indi.anapolis won.  Now we are biting our nails watching the Vikin.gs and hoping they pull through as well.  That will put us in a good spot in the football pool at work - and guarantee that I remain in first place going into the Sup.er Bo.wl.

This week will be an interesting week as we have school Mon, Tues, Wed and then Teacher Workshop on Thurs.  Friday I go with my little school to the B0st0n Mus.eum of Sci.ence.  Interesting, but fun!

Today

Today was a fun day.

Today we scored some amazing d00rbuster deals at J0A.nns.

Today Laura, Sue, and Olivia came to visit for the day.

Today we played W.ii with Olivia.

Today we decorated the Christmas Tree.

Today we were supposed to get a new camera and even paid for Saturday Delivery, but it did not come.

Today I spent a good 45 minutes on the phone with U.PS and Ama.z0n, but didn't get the delivery problem figured out.

Today I spent the day thinking about the fact that we could be making a baby tomorrow.

Today I tried to let myself not get too excited about the fact that we might make a baby tomorrow.

Today is coming to an end and I am ready for 9AM tomorrow to come.

Fall Frolic Crop

On Saturday we had tons of fun with our friends Laura and Sue at a 12 hour "Fall Frolic" crop. It was 12 uninterrupted hours of nonstop scrapbooking! We got ourselves all packed up - you need a lot of stuff when you are scrapbooking for that long!



When we arrived, there was a cute little goodie bag with a candy bar, pretzles, and bottle of water for us:

We had so much fun and accomplished A LOT!!! MJ and I got 18 pages done each - that really put a huge dent in our album making! This store has also started giving a 20% discount to teachers, so that was a bonus for the day as well! While we were there, we also signed up for "Crop instead of Shop" which is another crop being held on Bla,ck Fri.day! We are already looking forward to that!

Apples, Good Friends, and Wii

So, the title sums up our weekend! Saturday was all about apples, and Saturday evening and Sunday were all about good friends and playing Wii. Let me explain...

Saturday morning we went with my mom and her 5 year old neighbor to Apple Harvest Day. It is a great annual event where the streets are closed to traffic and lined with vendors of various things. Then, when you get to the end there is a park that is filled with food vendors and kiddie rides. The sun was shining and the day was just gorgeous.

Then we went apple picking at a fun orchard near our house. The apples are so yummy!!! Of course we had to take some silly pictures with the cut - outs! It was fun because my mom could take the pictures as we are usually there just us and no one to take a picture.

Then, in the evening, Laura, Sue, Olivia, and Gracie the dog came up to visit and spend the night. We haven't seen them for a while, so it was nice. I haven't seen them since before my birthday, so they brought up a cake to make for me. Olivia banished me to the dining room and gave me some of her toys to play with while the cake was secretly decorated! :)

We then had TONS of fun playing Wii. Olivia got the hang of it really quickly and surprised us with her coordination. We had most fun racing each other on the Outdoor Adventure game.

It was a great weekend, and we are looking forward to next weekend when we will go camping on Cape Cod. We are going back to the same place we went in June - a beautiful state park. We always go down Columbus Day Weekend as it is the beginning of Women's Week. We go every year with Laura and Sue - this year they are chickening out on the camping though and they are staying in a hotel. We will have lots of fun together, though! P-town is always fun!

Last Weekend

So, last weekend, we went to our friends Laura and Sue's house. Their neighbor has a greenhouse just FULL of tomatoes that he said to pick as many as we wanted. So, we took him up on the offer and picked a ton of them - 150 pounds to be exact - for FREE!!! We brought 50 pounds home to my parents to can and we all used the rest to make Spaghetti Sauce - which we froze and will have all winter. Can I just say - "YUM, YUM!" Oh, and one more story - on the way there, we stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up a few things that we needed to make the spaghetti sauce. There in the back of the parking lot was a family all set up for a night of camping. Now, I realize that Wal-Mart is nice enough to let people stay overnight in their parking lot. The average person just pulls in and sleeps for the night, right - well, these were not your average people apparently! They had the grill and lawn chairs out as well. Nothing like spending some quality time grilling in the parking lot! Of course, we had to get a pic:
