The Good and the Sad

The good:

We finished out summer job today. We were contracted until Thursday, but we got everything done by 3:00 today. The best part - we get paid for Wednesday and Thursday even though we don't have to work!

Summer vacation has now officially begun! We leave for vacation on Thursday - more details about that in a later post......

The sad:

Today would have marked 20 weeks in our pregnancy - half way through. There are days that the emotional wound is still so raw. We really, really miss our Chicklet. They say time heals all wounds, but this wound is going to take a long time to heal.

We get to jump back on the TTC wagon in 3 weeks. It's hard to totally invest yourself for fear of miscarriage again.

Tomorrow will be a better day!

cheering for you on the start of your official vacation.
Yay - you are some hard working hard playing gals!
feeling sad with you at the loss of your dear chicklet and wishing it had been different for you.
I'll be cheering you on through the next hard TTC stages:) What is the plan?

im not sure the wound from losing chicklet will ever heal completely. milestones like this definitely open the wound right back up. thinking of you both and sending ((love)) and rememberances your way.

congrats on the start of your official summer vacay. hope your trip next week is rejuvinating!

I still mark each week... each month... of what would have been, especially with the babies' developmental milestones. It's hard... And TTC after loss, either m/c or infant loss, is a rough journey. But well worth it. The joy of each child is a special and unique joy, no matter how long that child lives... They live forever in your heart.

I understand your sadness. I just passed my "would have been 21 weeks" mark on Tuesday and it's hard not to think about what could have been.

Hooray for the start of Summer! I hope you have a great one. With any luck on my side, I will be joining you as you climb back on the babytrain next month. Let's hope we get our next bfp ASAP!
